I use BOTTOMLINE they dont LIE. At least the older ones dont!

I like the lowrance personally. But we have had all the brands at one time or another. I like my old timey humminbird portable. As far as fish identification at times iffy. But for structure and depth for bass and pike fishing or river fishing. I like using it.
